Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose
Subhash Chandra Bose better known as 'Netaji' was the "Father of Indian Freedom." He was on one of India's greatest freedom fighter. He was the founder of the 'Indian National Army' better known as the 'Azad Hind Fauj'.
He was born on 23rd of January, 1897 in Cuttack (Orissa) to Janakinath Bose and Prabhavati Devi. As a student he was very bright, intelligent and sincere. During his college days he read a lot about how the British were ill treating the fellow Indians and a fire of revenge kindled in his heart.
In the year 1943 he formed the INA, Indian National Army or the 'Azad Hind Fauj' with the view of freeing India from the clutches of the British rule. But somehow his effort was not successful.
India did gain her desired freedom though, but it was believed that her great leader and patriot Subhash Chandra Bose died in a plane crash. But, his body was never found. Netaji was one India's greatest leaders that will always be remembered in ages to come.
