It is official news that LG will no longer be making any more smartphones. This is a huge loss for the smartphone market and the industry as a whole in this article I will be explaining why did LG go down like this and what were some key aspects of its withdrawal from the smartphone market but before that a few key points about how LG has helped the smartphone industry.

Basically LG was the company that took these risky moves and implement them in their smartphones like the LG Optimus 2x was the first phone with a duel core processor and could record videos at 1080p, then the LG Optimus 3D was the first phone with two rear cameras, the LG G2 was the first smartphone that had the simple yet useful double tap to wake feature, the LG G5 was the first phone with a ultrawide camera and many more risky moves which might have changed the smartphone you’re holding right now.

So losing LG in the smartphone industry means they have lost that company which took risks and experimented and implemented unusual yet maybe useful features in their smartphones.

So, how did this happen? First reason being consistency, LG used to put features like vein scan and many more which ended up being in one phone and later abandoned In the next generation, so by this they had no loyal customers. Second reason was the way they named their phones, the naming scheme of a company is very vital and important and LG’s naming scheme wasn’t that good for instance LG G8X ThinQ | DualScreen sounded very confusing and could mislead the costumers.

Lastly, the most important reason was they didn’t have a flagship lineup to help the company financially if we take example of Samsung it has its flagship S series which knows what it is it has all the flagship level hardware with maximum spec and then there is the Z series which is the folding phones as the experimental phones, but with LG’s case their flagship phones were the experimental ones the thing with experimental phones is that it satisfies a really small no. of people namely the phone geeks.

So at last LG decided to step out from the already tough smartphone market they will be selling and improving their home appliances and other products LG stepping out from the smartphone market could means that now the smartphone market has one less brand to come up with bright ideas.
