Tourist information
Accommodation no information found
Trekking, nature trail and bird watching are important tourist activities of the forest. Excessive
deforestation, livestock grazing and building of permanent huts by the local shepherds, bakerwals
and gujjars has immensely disturbed the ecology of Heerpora Wildlife Sanctuary. Moreover, the
vehicle movement through the Mughal Road, which passes through the sanctuary, has jeopardized
the movement of the wildlife. It has caused numerous deaths of the markhors through road
accidents.
