False mobile myths
False mobile myths
In this article we will discuss some famous yet wrong beliefs regarding Smartphones
Charging your phone overnight is bad for it.
This was the case with the old phones which didn’t actually know when they were fully charged and as a
result the battery suffered but nowadays the phones stop draining charge as soon as it hits its maximum
capacity.
The battery should be used up fully before recharging it.
Again this is really a popular myth. This was again the case with old mobiles from at least 10 years ago
which came with a NiCAD battery which meant they would last more if you would fully drain it. But in
the last 5 years all phones come with a Lithium ion battery which doesn’t have a cell memory like the
older phones meaning they won’t make a difference in the performance.
The more the megapixels the better the camera
This means that you shouldn’t just see the megapixel count and judge the camera. The megapixel size
simply tells how big a photo the camera can take; instead we should opt for the other things such as the
image processor, the lens and the quality of the sensor.
More RAM means better performance
RAM is not the part which makes your phone faster that’s the job of the processor. What RAM does is
ensures that if there is an ongoing work in the background it will keep it open.
Full network gives better call quality and faster data
The full network signal on your status bar doesn’t mean you get seamless data. It depends on the
number of users connected to the network tower that is why your signal strength doesn’t matter that
much most of the time.
