Android and iOS (an acronym for iPhone operating system), mobiles are majorly based on these two operating systems. Android, though being in the majority of phones, iOS is considered to have a more polished and user friendly interface.
Apple is like the trendsetter in the Smartphone industry, for example Apple took out the headphone jack in their iPhone 7 lineup, and slowly all other major companies started following it.
